YouTube runs on affiliate payouts. Protocol docs assume you're an engineer. Twitter threads sell you something. This course is built on four rules instead.
We show the downside next to the upside. Smart contract bugs, liquidation, peg failures — named, explained, and paired with what you can do about it. "4–10% APY on stablecoins" is honest. "10x your money" isn't our voice.
Every lesson ends with something you can do, not something to feel good about. Specifics over abstractions: real assets, real rates, real protocol screens.
We're not affiliated with Aave, Morpho, or Compound — and we say so on every page. No protocol referral codes or token recommendations, no profit from your trading decisions.
You don't just watch. You set up a real wallet, run transactions on a free testnet, and track live positions. Theory without practice is trivia. Practice without theory is gambling.
No card required. Your email gets you the guide and our weekly DeFi update.
You can't use DeFi without a bank account that moves money reliably and an exchange that converts dollars to crypto. If you already have both, skip this section — the signup bonuses below only apply to new accounts.
The on-ramp before the on-ramp. You'll need a bank account that handles transfers to an exchange without friction. Chime is the most common starting point for students who don't already have one set up for this.
Signup bonus: ~$100
Stable figure unless Chime runs a higher promo. Usually requires a qualifying direct deposit — check the current terms before counting on it.
Where dollars become ETH and USDC. You don't need to fund anything yet — the guide costs nothing to read, and the course's hands-on exercises run on free testnet funds. When you're ready for real positions, you'll need an exchange, and Coinbase is the most beginner-proven path from a US bank account to a self-custody wallet.
Signup bonus: ~$10–50
Varies with Coinbase's current promotion. Smaller and less predictable than the Chime bonus — treat it as a bonus, not a plan.
Disclosure: both links above are referral links — we earn a fee if you sign up through them, and we're telling you that upfront. The bonuses go to you, paid by Chime and Coinbase, not out of anyone's pocket here. Full answer in the FAQ. Our no-referral rule for protocols is unchanged: nothing we teach about Aave, Morpho, or Compound earns us anything.
Which protocol fits a first-time lender? Which one rewards sophistication? The answers depend on your capital, your risk tolerance, and your experience — and we score every dimension inside the course.

[TITLE — e.g., DeFi risk consultant & educator]
[BIO PARAGRAPH 1 — track record: years in DeFi, capital managed or advised, protocols used since when. Specifics beat adjectives: "supplied to Aave v1 in 2020" beats "DeFi veteran."]
[BIO PARAGRAPH 2 — why they teach: the gap they saw in DeFi education, the mistake that taught them the most. This is where earned trust lives.]
Every claim in this course is verifiable on-chain. No protocol affiliate income, no token positions in what we teach, no paid placements. If that changes, you'll read it here first.
Because we don't publish fake ones.
This course launches with zero students, so there are zero student quotes — and we'd rather show you an empty box than an invented one. Real quotes from real students will go here as the first cohort completes the course.
If another DeFi course you're evaluating launched with a wall of glowing reviews on day one, it's fair to ask where they came from.
No — you're exactly who Module 1 is built for. It assumes you know what Bitcoin and Ethereum are, and nothing else. You'll set up a wallet, learn the vocabulary, and practice on a free testnet before any real money is involved. No programming, no advanced math.
No. The hands-on exercises run on Sepolia testnet ETH, which is free from faucets. A small amount of real ETH or USDC is optional for later exercises, and entirely your call.
Using a protocol and understanding it are different things. If you've supplied assets but couldn't explain your health factor, what E-Mode changes, or how Morpho's matching engine differs from a shared pool — that gap is what Modules 2 through 7 close. The strategy and risk modules assume you'll go beyond copying what you see on Twitter.
No. The course translates DeFi into frameworks you already use: collateralized lending, margin calls (liquidation), rate curves, and counterparty risk (here, smart contract risk). Mechanics first, ideology never. You'll get a risk framework you can actually evaluate, not a pitch.
No, and be suspicious of anything that does. We never endorse a specific trade, position, or timing. The course teaches you how the machinery works so you can make your own decisions — that's the whole point.
Rate snapshots go stale; mechanics don't. The course teaches the machinery, which changes slowly. Where we do cite rates, they're dated — and when protocols ship meaningful changes, the material gets updated with a visible notice. The weekly email exists precisely to keep you current between updates.
Yes — we earn a referral fee if you sign up through those links, and we're telling you that upfront. These are platforms students need regardless — you can't use DeFi without a bank account and a crypto exchange. We chose Chime and Coinbase because they're the most common starting points for new users, not because of the fee.
Actually free. A 12-minute plain-English walkthrough of Aave, Morpho, and Compound — how each one works, what the risks are, and how to compare them. You give us an email, we give you the guide and a weekly update you can unsubscribe from in one click. If the free guide isn't useful, don't buy the course.
